The role of the father is fundamental to the family unit.<\/p>\n

When Payton Manning was injured and missed the 2011 season, the Colts went 2-14 (one of the worst seasons they ever had). During their prior season with a healthy Manning they had a record of 10-6 and made the playoffs.<\/p>\n

The father’s role is similar to that of the QB. When life’s struggles and the devil come at families like a blitz, fathers are called to protect them using the Word of God as a guide.<\/p>\n

We see fatherly abandonment in many homes today. The heart of God must be broken by this state because He did not design fathers to leave their families behind. The depression rate among women and children after a father has left the home is alarming. The prison occupancy rates and teen pregnancy are at an all time high. The emotional and spiritual damage on our families and our society is evident.<\/p>\n
